About Me
My name is Jessica Charnock and I have been a maths tutor for two years and I started my own maths tutoring business in January of 2025.

I was born in England and moved to Canada 15 years ago. I was homeschooled until Grade 2 and went to three different schools from Grades 2 to 8 as my family moved a few times during those years. My Dad, who has a maths degree, helped me with my maths homework as I went through elementary school, high school and university. Having his help enabled me to become proficient in maths and I am very glad that I am now able to help others!

I graduated high school with honours and achieved a mark of 90% or above in all of my courses throughout high school (except one course; Grade 12 accounting). I took maths all throughout high school and in Grade 12, I took data management and advanced functions (but I did not take calculus and vectors). I completed a 3-year Bachelor of Commerce degree through the distance learning program at Nipissing University over 4 years (I completed the entire degree online, from home during the pandemic). I graduated from Nipissing University in April of 2023 and was awarded the President's Gold Medal in the BComm program (this means that I attained the highest average out of all the students in my program). ​​
I have a 6-year-old golden retriever named Bailey who I love spending time with and taking on walks. I also enjoy baking, playing tennis, and playing board games and pool with friends and family. I am also a leader at my church's junior youth group on Wednesday and Friday nights. I attended this same youth group when I was in Grades 6-8 and love being back as a leader.
