Services
I offer online tutoring sessions through the platform Lessonspace. I tutor Monday through Saturday until 9:30pm EST. (To see my full availability, please visit the "Availability" page). During sessions, I can help students with their homework and I can also provide additional homework pages for students to practice on their own if you would like additional homework assigned. I can check over the worksheet(s), once completed, to make sure students have a good understanding of the concept(s) and review any mistakes during our next tutoring session.

You can schedule regular sessions with me on the same day(s) and time(s) each week. You can also book an extra session with me before a test or move your existing session to a different day in order to prepare for an upcoming test/exam if there is an available time slot that works with you.​​
Pricing
(All grade levels are charged the same hourly rate)

Maths Tutoring: $33/hour
​
Sessions will be charged to the nearest 5 minute interval. For example, if a session does not have a set time limit, (e.g 1 hour) and you have said that you would like our sessions to be the duration of however long it takes to complete your child's homework, this policy will apply. If a session started at 3:00pm and ended at 4:27pm, this time will be rounded down to 4:25pm and you will be charged for 1 hour and 25 minutes of tutoring. (This will come to $46.75)

Introductory Phone Call
If you decide that you would like to give my tutoring services a try, you can start by scheduling an introduction phone call with me where we can discuss the details of our tutoring sessions. (You can schedule a phone call with me at the bottom of this page.) ​
During the phone call, we will discuss where your child is having difficulty in maths/what they would like help with. We will also schedule your first tutoring session, which is completely free and you will have no obligation to continue utilizing my tutoring services if you are not completely satisfied.
If after the first trial session, you decide that you would like to continue with my tutoring services (yay, happy to have you!) we can then discuss how many sessions per week you would like to schedule and the length of each session. We will also discuss what time(s) your child is available for tutoring sessions, the best way for me to contact you and I will also give you my details (email, text message/iMessage). You can also use this opportunity to ask me any questions that you may have.

After the phone call, I will send you or your child a link to your child's online Lessonspace room. You can then click the link and make sure that everything is set up before our tutoring sessions begin. ​
Scheduling Tutoring Sessions
To schedule a tutoring session with me, you can iMessage/text me and create a regular schedule for our sessions. You can reserve the same day(s) and time(s) for our tutoring session(s) each week.

If, for example, your child has a test coming up and you would like to add an additional session to our regularly scheduled sessions or move your regularly scheduled session to a different day, please iMessage/text me to schedule a lesson for the day that you would like.
If you need to reschedule a session, please send me an iMessage/text and ask if I am available on a different day/time. Please try to give me as much notice as possible when changing or cancelling a session.
If you need to cancel a scheduled session, please give me at least 8 hours notice. If less than 8 hours notice is given, 50% of the cost of the session will be charged.
Before Each Tutoring Session
​​​​​The day before each of our sessions, I will send you an iMessage/text message to confirm the time of the session and give you an opportunity to switch or cancel a lesson if needed. (You may opt out of this service if you do not wish to receive confirmation messages).
Before each tutoring session, please take a picture of your child's homework or scan it in and send it to me via iMessage or email. If your child's homework is online, you can send me a screenshot or the link to access it. If your child has an online textbook, please send me the link so I can screenshot pages and upload them to Lessonspace so we can easily work on textbook homework questions during our sessions.

It is also a good idea for you to make sure that your child has all of the materials that they may need during a session ready beforehand. Some items that you may want to make sure your child has include paper, a pencil, an eraser, a pencil sharpener, a calculator, and a ruler.
Please also ensure that the battery on the device that your child will be using to join our Lessonspace sessions is charged with enough battery to last the entire session or ensure that a charger is handy.
During Tutoring Sessions
​​​​​If your child does not have homework on the day of our tutoring session, I can provide some extra practice questions related to what your child has been learning in class to work on during tutoring sessions. Alternatively, we could review something that your child learned in previous units or years that they struggled with and work on improving their skills in that area. We can also go over any tests that your child has taken and review any questions that they got incorrect and ensure that they understand how to do those types of questions.

During our tutoring sessions, I also like to make sure that students have their multiplication tables memorized up to the 12 times tables. In order to achieve this, I find that students enjoy doing timed multiplication table challenges where they can work to beat their personal best score each week. In the process, they learn their multiplication tables which is a very important skill for them to have a strong foundation in for later grades. ​​​
Billing
Once everything is set up and I have started tutoring with your child, I will keep track of how many sessions I have had with your child each month and the duration of each session. At the end of every month, I will send you an invoice listing the tutoring dates and duration of each lesson with an accumulated total for that month's tutoring sessions.

Once you have received the month's invoice, you can pay the amount due by e-transfer. If an invoice is not paid within 5 business days, tutoring services will be suspended until the amount due is paid. ​​
Ending Tutoring Services
If you would like to stop tutoring, please send me a message to let me know. There is no obligation to continue tutoring until the end of each school year so there is no penalty for ending tutoring services early throughout the year.
